About Ashlie Hempstead

I am an eclectic generalist practicing the healing arts in a world of specialization.

My offering is an interdisciplinary approach to preventative medicine, meaning-making, and the Earth-body relationship.

I companion and counsel people in the midst of change and transition through naturopathic medicine, East Asian medicine, somatic therapy, and intuitive bodywork. I'm trained in traditional naturopathic and Chinese medical healing arts, and hold certificates in interpersonal neurobiology and craniosacral therapy alongside years of clinical practice. I work with adults in middle to later life, often navigating a health picture that's more layered than any one specialist has had time to see.

I'm a diagnostician first, I listen for what's been missed, and I get creative with modifications and pacing for people who've felt dismissed elsewhere.

Personal philosophy

Your stressed system, or most vulnerable system, is also highly attuned and for that, the most intelligent.

I use the body as guide and Earth as my root. I practice nervous system restoration through nourishing relationships with the natural world, using principles of fortification and drainage to help dysregulated bodies find resonance and grounding.

Trainings & certifications

((DEI))

All people and all bodies are welcome here.

I defend against discrimination based on gender identity, race, ethnicity, nationality, cultural background, sexual orientation, ability or socio-economic circumstance.

I am committed to decolonizing healing spaces and deconstructing the systemic, hierarchical belief that the doctor is expert of your body, or that your healing should look a certain way.

From the moment I first sat with [Ashlie], I knew that I was working with someone who really saw and heard me, and who understood that medicine can take many forms… somehow she's able to weave magic into the Western medicine model.
